We are holding a seed and plant share day, admission is €2.00 and open to the public. It will be held in the Scarriff Community College, County Clare.
We are inviting anyone interested in starting a garden or the avid gardener to bring along any surplus saved seed and young plants they may have to swap with other gardeners and growers.
During the day you will be able to talk to the Seed Savers experienced staff and find out about their work in preserving and increasing agricultural biodiversity in Ireland.
A practical demonstration will be given and get a chance to see the Agricultural student’s polytunnel. The students will also be selling tea, coffee and cakes with all the proceeds going to the college.
There’s no need to book and you don’t need to bring seeds or plants, just come along and maybe you will go home with a few surprises.
There will be a range of extra workshops added throughout the year on biodynamics, sustainable living and alternative energy. Please contact our office on 061921866/856 for more details.
A special day for all our supporters. We will be offering Apple tasting & juicing, children’s activities, organic food café, live music, walks, talks, demonstrations and much more. Please park at Scarriff National school and there will be a free shuttle bus to take you to Irish Seed Savers site. There will be no parking at our site other than for the disabled.
